Scope of Services:
This is a run-of-river hydropower project located on the Nalter river, a left bank tributary of Hunza River near Gilgit city, Northern Areas, Pakistan. Preliminary studies of Nalter -V was first mentioned as part of the master plan for electrification of Northern Areas of Pakistan on the basis of proximity power. The project envisages a Tyrolean type diversion weir across Nalter Gah which diverts water in to concrete lined power canal of 450 m length. The gravel and sand trap is also provided. The forebay is provided at the end of power canal. A 4.12 km steel Penstock link the forebay and powerhouse. The discharge and head is 9.45 m3/s and 309.75 m, respectively. The powerhouse is open type and will house three numbers Pelton wheel. The project will be connected to local network

Scope of Services:
This is a run-of-river hydropower project located on the river Sehile Da Khata a right bank tributary of Jhelum River about 6 km from the town of Muzaffarabad, AJK, Pakistan. The preliminary studies of the project had previously been carried out by GTZ and HEPO-WAPDA. The Feasibility study was carried out by Pakistan Engineering Services under the supervision of Technical Engineering Services Pakistan who worked as Owner Engineer. The project envisages a diversion weir at Sehile Da Khatha and concrete lined power canal of 7 km length with 1.2 m3/s design discharge. The project is also equipped with gravel and sand trap. The power canal end into forebay which is equipped with side spill weir and penstock. A 1.3 km lengthy steel Penstock link the forebay and powerhouse. The powerhouse is open type and will house two number pelton wheel having capacity of 2.7 MW each. The project will be connected to National Grid at Muzaffarabad (132 KV) through 33KV Transmission line of 7 km length.

This is a run-of-river hydropower project located in Badakshan Province of Afghanistan. The project consists of weir, power canal, forebay, powerhouse and tailrace. The feasibility study was prepared by Integration and Environment, Gmbh, Germany under grant arrangement from German Government. The project envisages diversion 0.3 m3/s of water into power canal. The net of 24.7 m will be generated through 268.92 m long head race. One Francis turbines with 111 KW capacity will be installed. A steel penstock having 0.5 m diameter and 95 m length join the forebay and powerhouse. The project is proposed to be operated in Isolated mod.

The forebay is provided at the end of power canal. A 250 m lengthy steel Penstock link the forebay and powerhouse. The discharge and head is 1.5 m3/s and 139.24 m, respectively. The powerhouse is open type and will house two numbers Pelton wheel having capacity 0.6 MW each. The project will be connected to National Grid at Muzaffarabad (132 KV) through 11KV Transmission line of 10 km length.

During this study it reveals that development of a hydel project by utilizing the fall available at RD 271+654 and RD 304+984 was considered by combining the head available at two sites. The proposed project is located at RD 276+861 downstream of RD 271+654. The location selected on the basis of desk studies. The discharge available is 527 m3/s and gross head 2.54 m. Having a plant capacity of 7.0 MW with available energy generation of 54.75 GWh, an estimated plant factor is 89.3 %. The powerhouse will be constructed in by-pass arrangement. Four Pit type Kaplan double regulated turbines are selected. The power plant will be equipped with necessary electrical and mechanical equipment required for safe and robust operation.

The project envisages powerhouse will be constructed within canal and equipped with three pit type turbines. The available discharge is 425 cumecs and Head is 3.24 meter. Total energy will be 79 GWh. M/s TEAM Consultants has been contracted to review the general layout of the scheme and particularly to review the hydrology, hydraulics, geology, geotechnics, structural and Electro-Mechanical Equipments for feasibility design.

This is a run-of-river hydropower project located on the Gilgit River, a main tributary of Indus River about 11 km from Gilgit city, Northern Areas, Pakistan. Diversion weir is located near Harpoon village has three parts, fixed and lateral intake/low level flushing section. Low level flushing section is equipped with two gates of same size. Fixed weir and low level flushing section and water diverted to gated intake to connecting channel to forebay and then to power channel. Total length of power channel is 5.1 km and rated head is 62.8 m and discharge 38 m3/s with installed capacity of 20 MW energy studies were made and annual energy delivery to the grid is 171.48 GWh per year.
